MORE THAN 5 MILLION FANS AROUND THE WORLD HAVE REGISTERED FOR THE LA28 TICKET DRAW

Registration for the first draw remains open through March 18 as LA28 momentum continues  

 

LOS ANGELES (February 23, 2026) – As the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games conclude, LA28 announced it has surpassed 5 million registrations for the LA28 Ticket Draw*, marking a record-setting surge of global interest for LA28. 

 

  • The LA28 Ticket Draw has received an unprecedented number of registrations with more than three weeks remaining until registration closes on March 18.* 

 

  • Fans from all 50 states have registered, with global interest extending across 194 countries and six continents. 

 

  • LA28 has seen an average of 100,000 new daily registrations–a powerful indicator of the momentum building toward 2028

We are grateful for the millions of people who have expressed interest in joining us in LA in 2028 where more of these stories and dreams will come to life," said Reynold Hoover, LA28 Chief Executive Officer.

TICKET REGISTRATION FOR THE FIRST DRAW OPEN THROUGH MARCH 18* 

With something for everyone, LA28’s ticket program allows fans to take the first steps toward getting their ticket to history. For individual tickets, registration for the first LA28 Ticket Draw is open now through March 18 at tickets.la28.org

 

  • Registration is required to participate in the LA28 Ticket Draw. Fans must register at tickets.la28.org by March 18 for an opportunity to secure a time slot for Drop 1, (April 9–19), and if applicable with a relevant postal code, the LA & OKC Locals Presale (April 2–6).* 

 

  • Fans registered for the first draw will be notified via email about time slots between March 31 and April 7.  

 

  • Ticket inventory and pricing will vary by sport, session and venue.  

 

  • Fans who do not reach the 12-ticket maximum will automatically be entered into the draws for subsequent drops. 

 

  • Paralympic Games ticket sales will begin in 2027.  

 

  • Additional ticket drops are planned as the Games approach.  

 

  • LA28’s ticket process is powered by LA28’s Official Ticketing Service Provider, AXS and EVENTIM. More information can be found on the LA28 ticketing page

HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCES WITH ON LOCATION 

In addition to individual tickets, hospitality packages are also available beginning today. LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, On Location, has opened a deposit campaign for fans to be first in line to access various ticket-inclusive packages, before they go on sale to the public in April. The deposit is the first step toward access to guaranteeing private suites, shared lounges and hospitality experiences for the LA28 Olympic Games that are only available through On Location. VOLUNTEER IN THE COMMUNITY WITH LA28

With the launch of the LA28 Volunteer Program presented by Delta Air Lines in 2025, more than 215,000 people around the world have expressed interest in volunteering. In December 2025, LA28 hosted its inaugural community volunteer event in the community with Heal the Bay in Venice, Calif. As the program continues to expand in 2026, individuals can register their interest in becoming a volunteer by visiting the LA28 Volunteer Program page. Applications for Games-time volunteer roles will open later this year.  

 

PLANNING MILESTONES 

While the Olympic Opening Ceremony is more than two years away, from Games Plan to ticketing and all the operational elements in between, LA28 is moving confidently toward 2028. Highlights include:  

 

  • Announcing the most ambitious Games ever: Featuring 51 sports across more than 50 competition venues in 24 zones, the scale of the LA28 Olympic Games will be unlike anything executed before. The LA28 sport program features the debut of exciting new Olympic sports, including Flag Football and Squash, along with fan-favorites such as Baseball, Softball, Cricket and Lacrosse making a comeback.   • Engaging the nation: By bringing Olympic events to several states across the U.S., LA28 is creating more opportunities for fans to experience the Games firsthand. Oklahoma City will welcome Canoe Slalom and Softball, while group stage and knockout matches of the Football (Soccer) Tournament will take place in New York City; Columbus, Ohio; Nashville, Tenn.; St. Louis, Mo.; San José, Calif.; and San Diego, Calif. In addition, the Olympic Torch Relay will also pass through all 50 states for the first time in history come 2028. 

 

  • Making an impact: LA28 announced a ticketing donor initiative, featuring the Los Angeles Rams as the inaugural donor with a $5 million pledge toward providing free tickets to local residents.  

 

  • Scaling for what's next: As planning accelerates—from venues to operations, ticketing and community engagement—LA28 is building its workforce to meet the moment as it approaches the two-year countdown to the LA28 Games. The organization has doubled in the past year and will grow to more than 5,000 employees by Games time in July 2028.
