Demand More than Doubles Since February as LA28 Marks Two-Year Countdown to the Games; LA28 and Los Angeles Rams Gift 1,000 Free Tickets to Local Organizations 

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 29, 2026) — With two years to go until Los Angeles welcomes the world, the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games are already the most in-demand ticketed event in Olympic history. Today, LA28 announced that ticket registration has climbed to 12 million, up from 5 million announced registrations in February. This milestone coincides with the opening of the LA28 Visa Presale, giving selected qualifying* Visa cardholders early access to Drop 2 of Olympics tickets across all sports at a range of price points, subject to availability.

TICKET REGISTRATION SURGES TO 12 MILLION GLOBALLY 
Two years from Opening Ceremony, registrations for a chance to secure LA28 Olympics tickets have grown to 12 million, up from 5 million when LA28 last shared an update in February. This increase signals extraordinary global anticipation for the first Summer Games on U.S. soil since 1996. Fans in over 200 countries and all 50 states have now registered for the chance to purchase tickets, underscoring that the appetite for these Games spans every corner of the globe. LA28 will continue to deliver ticket opportunities between now and the Opening Ceremony to ensure fans have more chances to secure seats. Paralympics tickets will also go on sale in 2027. 

LA & OKC LOCALS CLAIM NEARLY 75% OF 4 MILLION TICKETS SOLD IN DROP 1 
The momentum builds on the most successful ticket launch in Olympic history. LA28's historic Drop 1 placed more than 4 million tickets in the hands of fans and delivered in a big way for the Games' hometowns. Los Angeles and Oklahoma City-area residents claimed nearly 75% of all tickets sold in Drop 1, along with 95% of every ticket available in Drop 1 priced under $100 and half a million $28 tickets, delivering on LA28's promise to make the Games accessible to the communities hosting them. 

LA28 AND LOS ANGELES RAMS GIFT 1,000 FREE TICKETS TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS 
The first recipients of LA28's Community Ticket Program were named this week, with 10 local organizations receiving a combined 1,000 free tickets to Olympic Swimming and Flag Football. The tickets are made possible by the Rams' inaugural $5 million donation to the Community Ticket Program, ensuring Angelenos of all backgrounds have the opportunity to experience the Games in their own backyard. 

MORE WAYS TO BE PART OF THE GAMES 
Tickets are only one way to be part of LA28. With applications now open for a Games-time role in the LA28 Volunteer Crew, fans around the world can apply to join the LA28 Volunteer Program presented by Delta Air Lines.

KEY DETAILS: VISA PRESALE (JULY 29–31) & DROP 2 (AUGUST 10–20) 

• The LA28 Visa Presale runs July 29–31; purchases must be completed with a Visa card. In recognition of Visa's long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa is the Official Way to Pay. 
  
  
• Registered fans who do not receive a Visa Presale time slot will be automatically entered into the draw* for Drop 2. 
  
  
• Registered fans who receive a Visa Presale time slot are not eligible for a Drop 2 time slot. 
  
  
• Drop 2 runs August 10–20. Fans randomly selected for a time slot will be notified via email August 6–7, with time slots open for 48 hours. 
  
  
• Each purchaser's maximum Olympic ticket allowance is cumulative across all LA28 Olympics tickets presales and drops. 
  
  
• Fans may purchase up to 12 total Olympic event tickets and up to 12 additional Football (Soccer) Tournament tickets, with a 4-ticket-per-Ceremony limit counting toward the general 12-ticket maximum. 
  
  
• In 2027, LA28 will launch a secure, multi-platform verified ticket resale network. LA28 cannot verify tickets sold outside its verified network and cautions fans to wait for the official resale program before buying or selling resale tickets. 
  
  
• Tickets for the Paralympic Games will go on sale in 2027. 
  
  
• Drop 2 and the Visa Presale are powered by AXS and Eventim, the Official Ticketing Service Provider of LA28.
