LA28 Olympic Tickets Go on Sale April 9 with LA & OKC Locals Presale Starting April 2
Starting tomorrow: Notification emails will be sent through April 7 informing LA28 Ticket Draw* registrants whether they were selected for a time slot for the LA & OKC Locals Presale and Drop 1
LOS ANGELES (March 30, 2026) – Over the coming week, LA28 Olympic tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning April 9, with a presale for Los Angeles and Oklahoma City locals beginning April 2. Time slot notifications for the LA & OKC Locals Presale will be shared via email on a rolling basis from March 31-April 4. On April 7, email notifications with time slots to purchase tickets within Drop 1 will be sent to randomly selected fans who entered the LA28 Ticket Draw*.
“This week marks the first opportunity for fans to claim a seat at the LA28 Olympic Games,” said Reynold Hoover, LA28 Chief Executive Officer. “We’ve been thrilled to see the outpouring of enthusiasm from fans all around the world, and we're counting down the final days to people being able to secure their tickets to history.”
Eligibility and Notification Timelines
LA28 Ticket Draw registrants whose billing postal codes fall within qualifying counties were automatically entered into the LA & OKC Locals Presale draw. Randomly selected fans will receive time slots for purchase windows opening between April 2-6. Notifications for this presale will be shared 48 hours before the purchase time slot begins, with the last batch of notifications coming as late as April 4. Registrants selected for the presale will only be able to complete their purchase with a payment method that has a billing postal code in a qualifying county. Registrants who did not receive a time slot for the LA and OKC Locals Presale will receive an email on March 31 notifying them that they will be automatically entered into the draw for Drop 2.
On April 7, all remaining registered fans will receive an email from LA28 notifying them of one the following outcomes:
- They received a time slot in Drop 1, which will include the date and time of their time slot.
- Fans will receive email reminders prior to their time slot, which will include a link to the ticketing platform.
- They did not receive a time slot in Drop 1, and they're automatically registered for the draw for Drop 2.
Purchase Windows
For both the LA & OKC Locals Presale and Drop 1, eligible participants who are randomly selected will receive a 48-hour assigned time slot to purchase their tickets. Once a fan adds a ticket to their cart, they will have 30 minutes to complete the purchase. Fans can make multiple transactions during their 48-hour time slot until they reach the maximum allowable tickets. Tickets are purchased by category, with specific seats assigned closer to Games time, consistent with standard Olympic and Paralympic ticketing procedures.
Ticket Maximums
LA28 tickets will be on sale across all sports, as well as for the Opening Ceremony at 2028 Stadium in the Inglewood Zone and the Closing Ceremony at LA Memorial Coliseum in the Exposition Park Zone.
Fans selected for time slots will have the opportunity to purchase up to 12 tickets for Olympic events, and up to 12 Football (Soccer) Tournament tickets that do not count toward the general 12-ticket maximum for Olympic events. There is a 4-ticket-per-Ceremony limit, which counts toward the general 12-ticket maximum for Olympic events.
Verified Resale Program: Coming in 2027
As LA28 approaches the first ticket drop of the Games, it has announced its verified multi-platform ticket resale program will open in 2027 with multiple points of access for LA28 resale. Along with AXS and Eventim as the Official Secondary Ticket Marketplace, other verified resale platforms will include Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets. LA28 cannot verify the validity of any tickets sold outside of its verified network and cautions fans to wait for the launch of the verified LA28 resale program before buying or selling resale tickets to LA28 events.
Future Draws and Drops
Registrants not assigned a time slot for the LA & OKC Locals Presale or Drop 1 will be automatically entered into future LA28 Ticket Draws for a chance to receive a time slot in a future ticket drop. Fans only need to register once to be automatically entered into future LA28 Ticket Draws. Paralympic tickets will go on sale in 2027. More information on the next draw* and registration period, which will take place later this year, will be shared soon.
Olympic Hospitality Packages
In addition to individual tickets, curated ticket-inclusive hospitality packages will be available from LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, On Location, with a presale window currently live on the LA28 Hospitality page. Tickets purchased through LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, On Location, do not count towards the 12-ticket standalone ticket maximum. For fans interested in ticket-inclusive hospitality packages, go to https://hospitality.la28.org to register your interest and be notified when packages go on sale, in April.
