Accessibility Information for Attending the LA28 Games  

The Olympic and Paralympic Games represent the highest levels of athletic achievement, human resilience, and the power of sport to unite the world. In 2028, Los Angeles will welcome athletes, spectators, families and communities from across the globe to experience these historic Games. 

At LA28, we proudly welcome guests of all backgrounds and abilities. We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible Games experience where everyone can participate fully and enjoy the excitement, energy and inspiration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games with dignity, independence and equal access. 

As we continue planning for the LA28 Games, accessibility remains a core priority across our venues, services and spectator experiences.

Please refer back to this page for updates as additional resources and venue-specific information will be published here closer to the Games. REQUESTING MODIFICATIONS

LA28 is committed to providing guests with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in and enjoy the Olympic and Paralympic Games. 

LA28 will consider requests for reasonable modifications to policies, practices or procedures when necessary to provide access to individuals with disabilities, unless doing so would fundamentally alter the nature of the service, program, or activity or create a direct threat to the health or safety of others. 

Guests seeking a reasonable modification are encouraged to submit their request in advance to support.accessibility@la28.org whenever possible. Requests may also be made on-site at an LA28 Information Booth (see below for more on information booths).

LA28 INFORMATION BOOTH

There will be information booths throughout LA28 venues to provide spectator services and accessibility support. At the LA28 Information Booth, guests can: 

  • Learn about accessibility services and receive answers to accessibility-related questions. 

  • Request information about available accessibility services and support.

  • Check in for pre-arranged accessibility accommodations. 

  • Receive guidance on accessible routes and venue navigation.

  • Report accessibility concerns or request assistance. 
ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORTATION  
Spectators will have the flexibility to utilize a variety of accessible transportation options throughout their journey to the LA28 Games, including public transportation, park-and-ride  and paratransit services. We encourage you to check back closer to the event when more detailed accessibility information will be available. 
ACCESSIBLE PARKING
LA28 is a transit-first Games and there will be no parking at venues for spectators. Please refer to the accessible transportation section above for more information when it becomes available.
ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Accessible tickets compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will be available for all LA28 Olympic and Paralympic sessions, subject to inventory availability. We offer the below types of accessible tickets. Available options can be found on LA28’s ticket website on each session page under “See all ticket types” within each ticket category.  

Accessible Ticket Types: 

  • Wheelchair: Reserved for attendees who utilize a wheelchair or other mobility device. 

  • Wheelchair Companion: Reserved for companions of attendees  who require  wheelchair-accessible tickets. 

  • Semi-Ambulatory: Reserved for attendees with limited mobility. May require ascending and descending a few stairs. 

  • Semi-Ambulatory Companion: Reserved for companions of attendees who require semi-ambulatory tickets. 
ACCESSIBLE ROUTES & RESTROOMS

LA28 is planning accessibility features across all venues, including accessible entrances, routes of travel, and restroom facilities. Accessible route information connecting key venue amenities, including entrances, seating areas, restrooms, concessions, transportation hubs, and other spectator services, will be made available closer to the Games. 

Specific accessibility features and services may vary by venue. 

We encourage guests to check back closer to the Games for venue-specific accessibility information. 

COMMUNICATION SERVICES (HEARING & VISUAL DISABILITIES)

At this time, accessibility services and related request processes are still being developed and may vary by venue, event, or session. Planned accessibility offerings may include services such as American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, live captioning, assistive listening systems, and other forms of effective communication support, subject to availability and operational considerations.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are welcome throughout the LA28 Games. 

To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests: 

  • Service animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times. 

  • Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless the handler’s disability prevents the use of these devices. 

  • Service animals must be housebroken. 

  • Handlers are responsible for the supervision, care, and behavior of their service animals. 

  • Service animals should utilize designated relief areas where available. 


Please note, emotional support, comfort, therapy, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA.

ELIGIBILITY

LA28 is committed to ensuring accessibility services are available to guests with disabilities who need them. 

Misrepresentation of disability-related accommodation needs, or knowingly providing false information to obtain accessibility services, may result in removal from the event and/or loss of future access privileges.
