Sustainability
LA28 is committed to leaving a positive, long-term legacy for our city, our region and the world. Our goal is to ensure that LA28’s environmental footprint is minimized and the Games actively contribute to expanding access to a healthy environment. We are doing this through prioritizing radical reuse, resilience and natural resource stewardship as well as the creation of our LA28 Resilience Champions Initiative.
CHAMPIONING THE FUTURE
LA28 RESILIENCE CHAMPIONS
Through the LA28 Resilience Champions Initiative, we are investing in a more resilient Los Angeles, creating lasting community benefits that begin now and will continue beyond the Games.
The LA28 Resilience Champions Fund will provide grants to nonprofits for local projects that strengthen resilience across the Los Angeles region, focused on wildfire resilience, nature restoration, ocean protection and cooling solutions.
