Sitting Volleyball
Sitting Volleyball is a riveting team sport where two teams of six players from seated positions move and slide quickly across the floor, using their hands and arms to pass, set and spike the ball over a net on a 6x10m indoor court. Points are earned when the ball hits the opponents' court or when a team cannot return the ball in three or fewer contacts. Sets are played to 25 points in a best-of-five format, with a 2-point margin needed to win. The fifth set is played to 15 points and must also be won by two points. There are two classifications in Sitting Volleyball determined by how severely an athlete's impairment in the following categories impact their play: limb deficiency, muscle power, range of motion, coordination and leg length difference. Sitting Volleyball rosters are made up of a combo of both classifications. Sitting Volleyball is a celebration of constant motion, teamwork and impeccable reaction time, setting the stage for constant excitement and action for fans.
