Flag Football

Fast, explosive and incredibly dynamic, this non-contact format of American Football will bring an exciting new energy to the Games with its Olympic debut in 2028. During two 20-minute halves, the offense works to drive the ball down a 70-yard-long field to the end zone, while the defense counters with sharp reflexes and quick footwork, aiming to stop the offense by pulling flags from their belts. Demanding overall athleticism and creative play design, Flag Football is a showcase of pace, strategy and skill. Thanks to its blend of accessibility and inclusion, Flag Football has grown into a global phenomenon and earned a place on the world’s biggest sporting stage.
