Cricket is played between two teams, each consisting of eleven players. The game takes place on a Cricket field, typically a grassy oval with a rectangular 22-yard pitch in the center. The batting team aims to score runs by hitting the ball and running between two sets of wooden stumps, called wickets, while the bowling team aims to dismiss the batsmen and restrict the opposition's scoring. Cricket at LA28 will be played using the T20 format, a faster-paced version where teams face a maximum of 20 overs (set of six balls) while trying to score as many runs as possible.
