Community Volunteering FAQ
Q: Where can I find information about LA28 community volunteering?
A: You can sign up for updates on the official LA28 Volunteer Program page. Those who sign up will be invited to participate via email as opportunities become available. Not all interested individuals will be invited to every event, so keep an eye on your inbox for updates and we’ll reach out as opportunities arise.
Q: Will volunteering in the community help my application for volunteering during the LA28 Games?
A: Volunteering in the community is not a requirement to be selected to volunteer during Games time. However, it will be taken into consideration in your Games-time application and could strengthen your chances of being selected for volunteer roles during LA28.
Q: How can my group or organization do community volunteering with the LA28 Volunteer Program? Can I volunteer with a group of friends or family?
A: At this time, we are unable to accommodate volunteer groups. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to sign up, but we are unable to guarantee you will be selected for the same event or will be able to volunteer together.
Q: Can I transfer my community volunteer spot to someone else?
A: All volunteers must be individually registered, we do not allow volunteers to transfer their spot to another person. If you are unable to make your volunteer assignment, please update your volunteer registration or reach out to volunteer@la28.org.
Q: Is there an age requirement to volunteer in the community?
A: To volunteer in the community, you must be 18 or older when you register your interest.
