Para Canoe

Para Canoe features two types of boats: the kayak and the va'a. Athletes propel the kayak with a double-bladed paddle, while the va'a is an outrigger canoe and employs a single-blade paddle. Sprint races occur on 200m flatwater and are competed in heats for each disability classification.

The canoes are in close proximity, with visible lane markers numbered from right to left, 1 to 7. The athlete in the foreground, wearing a white long sleeve shirt and sunglasses, is in kayak number 7. The competitors are captured in mid-stroke, creating splashes as their paddles hit the water.
