Cycling Track

Track Cycling, held within the confines of a 250m velodrome, demands speed and strategy as athletes propel fixed-gear bikes without brakes around the track to cross the finish line first. Men and women compete separately in a variety of events of varying distances and formats.
A team of four cyclists, wearing matching white uniforms and aerodynamic helmets, rides closely together in a line on a wooden indoor velodrome track. They are navigating a steeply banked curve marked with red, blue, and black lines. Above them, the rings of the Olympic logo are visible on the wooden surface.
