Canoe Sprint
Canoe Sprint is a captivating display of speed and raw power. On flatwater and in their own lane, athletes race in a canoe or kayak to cover distances of 200m, 500m or 1000m the quickest. The sport demands more than just a fast pace, it's an epic test of strength, endurance and teamwork, where every stroke counts and seamless coordination is make or break. Boats have one, two or four paddlers and athletes kneel and use a single-blade paddle in a canoe while they sit and maneuver with a double-bladed paddle in a kayak. Part of the Games since 1936, Canoe Sprint returns to Southern California for the second time, bringing a powerful and mesmerizing viewing experience to fans.
