What will transportation look like for the Olympic and Paralympic Games?

The Los Angeles region has extensive experience with developing, communicating and implementing strategic travel-demand management plans. On an annual basis, LA manages road closures and traffic control during major events such as the Oscars, Grammys and LA Marathon.

During the Games, LA28 will work in close partnership with LA Department of Transportation, Metro and Caltrans, leveraging their abundance of infrastructure and world-class traffic demand management systems to effectively and efficiently bring people to Games events, while keeping the rest of LA moving.

Separate from the Games, the City of Los Angeles has invested in the largest mass transit construction program in the nation, expanding subway, light rail, rapid bus transit and express lane projects better connecting every corner of LA.
